Supporting great causes at local and national levels
We’re proud to support some incredibly worthy causes, both at a local and national level, and are committed to giving back to the communities that have supported us.
Our employees are passionate about giving back to their communities and supporting causes which are close to their hearts. Learn more about some of the incredible causes and how we’re supporting them below.
The Nook appeal
In 2014 EACH launched an appeal to raise £10 million to build and equip a new children’s hospice for Norfolk, in the heart of the county.
The current Quidenham hospice, one of the oldest in the UK, has been a home from home to many Norfolk families for more than 20 years, however this old country house is now extremely restricted in its facilities and development. With demand for EACH services growing and with care over the last decade becoming more complicated, EACH’s are rapidly outgrowing the constraints of the building.
EACH’s new hospice – the Nook – will provide many, many more benefits to local families as well as being better positioned in the county for families to access. There are a huge number of different schemes and events designed to help raise funds for this appeal – for more information please visit www.each.org.uk/the-nook
East Anglian Children’s Hospices (EACH)
EACH supports families and cares for children and young people with life-threatening conditions across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk.
Their care and support is tailored to the needs of all family members and delivered where the families wish – in the home, at hospital, in the community or at one of their three hospices.
EACH delivers a wide range of services through short break care, emotional and psychological support, symptom management, care at end of life, bereavement support and many activities and therapies.
For both families accessing care, and those who have been bereaved, EACH is a lifeline at an unimaginably difficult time. To deliver these services, at no cost to the families they care for and support, EACH relies on voluntary donations for the majority of their income.
Naomi House & Jacksplace
Zenith also supports Naomi House and Jacksplace, hospices which provide care and support to families from seven counties in southern England – Hampshire, Berkshire, Wiltshire, Dorset, Surrey, West Sussex and the Isle of Wight.
The charity offers a full palliative care service that includes respite, emergency and end of life care for life-limited and life-threatened children and young adults from birth and into their later years.
Naomi House is a purpose built children’s hospice that provides a homely environment to children and young people with life-limiting conditions. The Naomi House team provide individualised specialist care and much needed respite for the whole family, enabling them to feel refreshed, rested and supported through the good days, difficult days and last days.
Jacksplace is for youngsters of 16 years and upwards and has been specifically designed to meet the needs of young adults. It is the only purpose built hospice for teenagers and young adults in the region, and gives life-limited young people the privacy and dignity they crave.
Each year Naomi House and Jacksplace need to raise £7million to run the whole service but receive less than 10% of their income from Government sources.
The support the charity receives from businesses, individuals, groups, and trusts means that they can provide care and support 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, free of charge, when children, young adults and their families from across the region need it most.
Horsford Youth Football Club
As part of our commitment to the local community and local people we also sponsor Horsford Youth Football Club, one of the most spirited and hardworking teams in the county.
